Coconut Milk Chocolate Ganache

This was thrown together because I wanted an outer coating on my German Chocolate Cake. Since German Chocolate Cake already has a super sweet filling I didn’t want to use frosting because it would make it too sweet. This ganache has that bitter chocolate taste that helps balance out the sweet cake beautifully. It turned out amazing! You will need a scale because I did not actually measure out the ingredients, I weighed them. But usually for ganache the ratio of milk to chocolate will be 1:1.


Coconut Milk Chocolate Ganache

300 grams coconut milk (from a can)
300 grams Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Warm the coconut milk in the microwave for 30-45 seconds. Pour the milk over the chocolate chips. Let sit for 3-5 minutes. Gently stir together the softened chocolate and coconut milk until completely combined. Set aside to let solidify for 1 hour. If you want it a little thinner you can put it in the microwave for 5 seconds and it should soften up.
